  • Plant Room Efficiencies will mean the decommissioning and removal of obsolete equipment as part of the ongoing modernisation program.  This includes the upgrade of Mechanical Services Switchboards, Efficient Steam Boilers and Chiller pumps.
  • Replacing external tiles on the exterior of Building A as part of the Institute beautification and re-imaging program
  • Replacement of the chairs in the Learning Resource Centre with new ergonomic chairs as well as the replacement of the carpet throughout the Library area
  • The replacement and upgrade of the Auto-Doors located on the ground and first floors of Building C
  • The replacement of the roof sheeting on Building D North with new colour bond steel sheeting and the replacement of bitumen sealed roofing to Building D West.
  • A secure Bicycle enclosure for staff use, to cater for the growing number of staff wishing to ride to work.

These maintenance items will update the facilities and enhance capacity, specifically in relation to hot water/power supply to trade classrooms, in particular, cookery, patisserie and bakery.  This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET).
