Disability Support

William Angliss Disability Support works with students with disabilities to ensure they can access and participate in education and training at William Angliss Institute.

Enquiries are welcome from people with disabilities, their families and friends, their case managers, teachers or other staff.

Services Available

+ learning plan development + assistance with studies and assignments

A student's right to privacy and respect is important and all information given to the Disability Liaison team is kept confidential. 

A student's permission will be obtained before disclosing or obtaining information to or from a third party.

+ people with visual impairment + people who are deaf or hearing impaired
+ people with intellectual disabilities + people with medical conditions

William Angliss Institute provides learning support to all students.

To be eligible to receive some higher levels of support, such as a support worker in class, students must have a diagnosed disability.

Disability Support Needs

When a student first contacts us, we have an individual interview to evaluate the student's needs. The Disability Support team meets with the student, teachers and/or other relevant staff to determine the support required.

Financial Support for Apprentices

Information regarding government financial support for apprentices through the Disabled Australian Apprentices Wages Support Scheme (DAAWS) is available through the Australian Apprenticeship Centres.
