thumb_students_06William Angliss Institute provides students with a number of services which can help you to be successful in your studies and have fun along the way. These services include:

Study Skills

Language and Study Skills teachers are available to help you to adjust to the Australian learning environment. They can provide you with assistance on classroom participation and effective study techniques.

They also offer language, literacy and numeracy support. Whether you are having trouble with a particular subject, language interpretation, exams or a learning disability, study skills teachers are there to help with a drop in service to assist you.

You will meet these teachers during the orientation program. It is important that you make contact with them to ensure that they are aware of any learning needs you may have.

Student Wellbeing

Change can be difficult to adjust to and studying in a new learning environment is no exception. Staff at the Counselling Centre are on hand to talk you through any issues you are having and provide personal counselling. They can provide practical advice on how to cope with the stresses of being a student. All services are free and confidential, and students are encouraged to make use of the expert services on offer.

Student Activities

Angliss Student Activities is all about fun and throughout the year there are many group activities and events on offer. Many on campus theme days run throughout the year and include street performers, food, giveaways and live music. These days are the perfect break from studies. There are also off campus activities such as day trip adventures which may include trips down the Great Ocean Road, winery visits and horse riding. Sporting students are encouraged to represent the Institute in team competitions including soccer, basketball, pool and table tennis.

The Lounge

The Lounge is open to all students looking for a place to eat, meet and relax between classes. With plenty of couches, tables and microwaves, it is the perfect place to eat your lunch with other students. The Lounge also sells discounted movie tickets, phone cards and mobile credit, provides binding and fax services as well as the lost and found property register. Activities available in the Lounge include pool tables, video games, TV with pay television and food vending machines.
