BTF - On Campus Network Connectivity (Wireless) PDF Print E-mail

 

  • Installation of power and data cabling and wireless access points
  • Increase course availability (learning capacity) for TAFE students with a  neutral requirement for classroom for TAFE (less resilient on power, water etc)
    • Move to wireless classrooms, this will result in reduced power requirementsBuilding
    • Move to support notebooks “green footprint” away from desktops
    • This project will allow TAFE students to work off campus in cafes and other meeting places off campus
  • Budget: $902,000 (inc GST)

 WAI has a network of buildings on the La Trobe Street campus between 10 and 70 years of age. The Teaching and Learning Capital fund is financing the following Projects:

  1. New Clarifier
  2. Insulate hot water and steam lines
  3. Plant room efficiences
  4. Upgrade high voltage switchboard
  5. Replace external tiles of building A
  6. Replace auto sliding doors of Building C
  7. Replace Building D roofing
  8. Replace carpet in areas of Building A
