How to Apply - Vocational Courses

Here's the information you need to get started with your vocational application as a local student at our Melbourne Campus. There is a different process for our International Students, and for domestic students at our Sydney Campus. Application for most courses can be completed via a simple online process.

If you are in Year 12 and are applying for a Diploma or Advanced Diploma course, you will need to apply through VTAC. Information on VTAC Applications can be found further down this page.

Applying for certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas

1. Choose your Experience

Browse through our wide selection of vocational specialisations and when you see the course that suits you best, click apply.

Note that not all courses are offered at all campuses, and some courses are only offered full-time, so make sure you check all the details during your search.

2. Submit your Application

This quick online process should take less than 15 minutes. Submitting your application is your formal expression of interest to study at Angliss and is essential to guarantee that you will be considered for a course.

VTAC: Year 12 students applying for Diploma or Advanced Diploma courses should submit your application to study at Angliss through the VTAC application system.

3. Complete selection requirements

After you submit your application form, we will be in touch with a list of things you need to do to be considered for an offer from Angliss. They are:

  1. A Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) assessment – which should take between 30-60 minutes. Take your time and do your best!
Your results will be provided to you as part of the Student Pack that you need to sign electronically.
  2. Green ID – An online portal that will verify your citizenship documentation. This also helps us work out whether you can access a lower course fee through a government subsidised place.
Tip: Passports are the best form of ID to provide us with, but Medicare Card and Driver's License (together) is just as valid.
  3. Pre-Training Review Form - This form should take between 10-20 minutes to complete. This is not a test, but it does allow us to understand a little more about you, your education/work history and why you want to pursue a career in foods, tourism, hospitality or events!

Some courses (Angliss International Hotel School Diploma) have an additional interview requirement.

In some cases we may contact you to discuss your application further.

4. Sign your student pack

You will receive your Student Pack by email which gives a summary of the information that you have provided to us, including the results of your LLN assessment. You need to electronically sign the document to confirm your details.

5. Wait for an offer

Once you complete all your selection requirements, we will hopefully be able to offer you a place with us for your chosen intake!

Offers will usually come out within 15 days after you complete the requirements, but can take longer during busy periods.

Either way, we'll let you know if you are successful or if we determine a more suitable course that matches your skills and knowledge.

VTAC: If you applied through VTAC, they will send you your offer on the specified VTAC offer round dates.
