Treat yourself this Open Day with our Alumni Showcase!
Angliss Open Day is the gift that keeps on giving! On August 14th, you'll learn more about some of our favourite alum-owned businesses. So when you're done with our live sessions and you've been inspired by some masterclasses, come visit our Alumni Expo, where you can relax and get inspo for your next purchase or meal out!
So here's a sneak peek:
Ehud Malka, Owner and Chef at The Left-Handed Chef
Ehud's passion for food is undeniable, and it shows in his work at The Left-Handed Chef, where it received glowing reviews from Good Food. During the 2020 lockdown, Ehud kindly shared the secrets behind his famous hummus in one of our online 'Around The World Masterclasses'. Many students, alumni and guests tuned in and made their own batch of hummus.
You can catch Ehud in action on Shane Delia's SBS Show A Middle East Feast, where he'll be cooking up some delicious Israeli cuisine.
Brittany Page, Event Expert and Owner of Floss & Fleur
Events Alum Brittany page is an expert with many talents, one of which is making a killer grazing table. Her business Floss and Fleur offers a one-stop shop offering floristry, styling, catering and event production.
The Floss & Fleur website is full of positive reviews from brides, hens and new mothers! There's no special event she can't tackle.
Kirsty Chiaplias, Owner of Babajan
Since opening in 2016, Babajan has caught the attention of local foodies in Carlton North and beyond. Owner Kristy Chiaplias is a middle eastern speciality chef and has over 20 years of industry experience; she even did a stint with Gordon Ramsay!
Like many hospitality businesses in Australia, last year she had to pivot her business to takeaway and, from August 2020, Babajan decided the decision will be permanent. If you feel like treating yourself to one of the most premium takeaways in the city, make your way to Babajan!
