MINDFULNESS 101 | Friday 2nd December 2022
Covering the basics of mindfulness, including understanding what mindfulness is, the four foundations of mindfulness, mindfulness attitudes, formal and informal mindfulness meditation practice and making mindfulness a self-care habit. Setting up for training using the guided techniques, a sit spot and regular practice goals.
BIG MIND MINDFULNESS | Friday 16th December 2022
Understanding the thinking mind, perception and appraisal, self-judgment and how to intervene with the mindfulness attitudes of patience, letting go and trust. Responding vs reaction, making 'inner space' and working with complex thoughts. Learning to observe thoughts and come back to breathe and body.
BIG HEART MINDFULNESS | Friday 13th January 2023
Understanding emotions and learning to feel/process/metabolise emotions by working with them somatically. Practising with the attitudes of non-judgment, acceptance and self-compassion to navigate emotions in mindfulness practice. Exploring feeling sensations in meditation, becoming aware of approach vs avoidant strategies and cultivating self-compassion.
