Phyllis Budd Scholarship (VIC)

The Phyllis Budd Annual Scholarship was established to assist Apprentice or Trainees in the Foods areas with training equipment and opportunities such as interstate or overseas travel to enhance their career development.

Benefits

One annual scholarship to the value of $4,000 (AUD) will be available to Apprentices or Trainees who are undertaking studies within Foods area. This is awarded to support travel, living and other study related tools, resources or/and equipment as well interstate or overseas travel.

Eligibility

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a permanent Humanitarian Visa;
  • Be enrolled or intending to enrol in an apprenticeship or traineeship program including Certificate III in Meat Processing, Certificate III or IV in Patisserie, Certificate III in Retail Baking or Certificate III Commercial Cookery Apprenticeship at William Angliss Institute Melbourne Campus.
  • Demonstrate financial and/or educational disadvantage. Include evidence that you;
    • have a disadvantaged financial background; or
    • are from a rural area or under-represented school
    • are an Aboriginal & Torres Strait islander; or
    • have disability, long-term medical illness or mental health condition or
    • experience difficult circumstances
Application

You must complete the application form attached below and submit all supporting documentation. Only complete applications submitted before the relevant closing date will be considered.

Selection

This scholarship is offered to all eligible applicants on the basis of Merit and/or Equity as indicated on this page.

Outcome

All applicants will be informed about the outcome within 10 weeks of the closing date.
