Skills Assessment Process

William Angliss offers “pre-assessment” service at no cost.

In the pre-assessment process William Angliss Institute skills assessors review documentary evidence submitted via email (e.g. resume, training certificates/qualifications, proof of employment and length of employment) and to determine if the candidate is eligible to apply for skills assessment.

For candidates deem eligible to apply for skills assessment, an invitation will be issued for the skills assessment application to be lodged.

There are 2 compulsory stages to the skills assessment process.

Once the applicant passes the Evidence Assessment stage the individual is invited to a face-to-face Technical Interview which is strictly conducted in English.

At the interview, the assessor asks questions to determine the applicant's knowledge and experience against the current Australian qualification framework. Applicants are required to bring along original documentary evidence as well as proof of identification to be sighted. Information provided may be used for data matching with other Australian Government agencies such as the Department of Education and Training, Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, Department of Immigration and Border Protection and the Australian Taxation Office.
