Shanghai University is a member university of the national project 211 and is a research-intensive and comprehensive university. The University has developed a reputation of excellence in the years of its operation. It has 4 campus locations and a total of 50,000 students per year with 30,000 of them full time.
William Angliss Institute started the joint program with Shanghai University since 2002 and the Program has been recognized as the Top Hospitality Program in Shanghai by the industry. Up to date, over 850 students have graduated from the joint program. Currently 109 students are studying the 3 year Advanced Diploma of Hospitality.
Tourism College of Zhejiang (Hangzhou)
Tourism College of Zhejiang (TCZJ) is a public college of higher tourism education under the administration of both the National Tourism Administration and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province. The College is the only tourism vocational college be included in the National Plan of Construction of demonstrative Higher Vocational Colleges and universities, also is the only National Tourism Standardization pilot institution. Among all the national tourism colleges in China, TCZJ was the first to pass TedQual by UNWTO in 2010. The college is a member of “China Union of Five Tourism Institutes” and was awarded as “ Zhejiang Model Vocational College”.
The College operates with approximately 9,800 full time students per year from excellent industry standard facilities. WAI started the Joint Education Co-operation Agreement with the Tourism College of Zhejiang in 2005. In 2013, the Joint Program was awarded as “Model Joint Program” by the Zhejiang Provincial Education Commission. Currently, there are over 300 students enrolled in our Advanced Diploma of Tourism and Advanced Diploma of Hospitality course. To date, over 600 graduates have successfully completed the joint program and have been placed in international hotels and tourism organisations and are claiming their places as future industry leaders.
Nanjing Institute of Tourism and Hospitality
Nanjing Institute of Tourism and Hospitality (NITH) is a state-owned vocational college subordinated to Jiangsu Provincial Tourism Bureau. It was founded in 1978 along with the beginning of the reform and opening up, and the development of tourism. Reputed as the “cradle of tourism personnel in China” and “Huangpu Military School in Hotel Industry” (an incubator of elites for Chinese hotel industry), NITH is a member of “China Union of Five Tourism Institutes”, a national base for training senior management of hotels, and an initiator of Jiangsu Group of Tourism Vocational Education.
The college has about 6,200 full time students per year, studying 25 different majors. WAI started working with NITH to deliver the joint program in hospitality from 2002. To date, nearly 400 students have graduated from the joint program. Currently over 100 students are studying in the 3 year Advanced Diploma of Hospitality.
Zhongshan Polytechnic College
Zhongshan Polytechnic College (ZPC) is a government owned vocational college built in 2005. In 2013, it was awarded as “Guangdong Province Model Vocational College”. The college has 33 majors in Tourism, Mechanics, IT, Art, Chemical and Business areas. Currently, over 14,000 students are studying on campus and the graduates employment rate has been 98% for the last five consecutive years, ranking the forefront of colleges and universities in the province.
WAI started delivering the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality at ZPC in 2013 and currently there are 38 students enrolled in the joint program.
