William Angliss Institute butchery apprentices Caleb Sundqvist from South Australia and Jimmy Neville from Victoria have won the opportunity to compete and represent Australia at the 2017 World Butcher’s Challenge next year in Europe. They competed in the National Meat Industry Training Advisory Council Limited (MINTRAC) competition against the best butchery apprentices from around the country.

The annual Careers and Employment Expo showcases William Angliss Institute’s strong links to industry and gives students opportunities to directly engage with industry representatives and seek out casual, graduate or placement employment.

A group of seven Angliss tourism and events students have travelled to China for the first time, enjoying a 12-day study tour famil visiting major cities Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing and key World Heritage sites. For a number of the students this was also their first international trip.
