The Food Safety for Supervisors online course comprises of 2 nationally recognised units of competency (SITXFSA001 – Use hygienic practices for food safety and SITXFSA002 – Participate in safe food handling practices), and covers:

The skills and knowledge required to use personal hygiene practices to prevent contamination of food that might cause food-borne illnesses; The ability to follow predetermined organisational procedures and to identify and control food hazards; Handling food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food; and, Following predetermined procedures as outlined in a food safety program.

 The Food Safety for Supervisors online course is comprised of 1 nationally recognised unit of competency (SITXFSA002). This unit is currently recognised in Western Australia, South Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and Tasmania.

Please note this course is not recognised in Victoria or NSW.

Once the online course has been purchased, participants will be emailed an Enrolment Form. This Enrolment Form must be completed, signed and returned with a valid form of photographic ID for participants to be set up in our systems.   All information that is supplied is used for Government reporting purposes only as the purchased Short Course is made up of nationally accredited units.

  

Once all required paperwork is returned, you will be contacted by your Trainer and emailed a Username and Password to access the online Learning Management System in order to undertake your course.

 

This course consists of online activities and projects and you will be required to complete a face to face element which will be conducted via Zoom.

 

 Participants will have 3 months from the enrolment date online to complete the two units and upon successful completion of the online course, will receive a William Angliss statement of attainment.

 

PLEASE NOTE: The creation of user accounts is a manual operation and therefore takes place Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

IMPORTANT: Although, on completion, you will receive a competency in nationally accredited units – please be aware that NSW and VIC have different legislative and licencing requirements in regards to FSS. Please contact us to see if this course is right for you.
