The Resort industry has grown into a leading sector of the Australian and international tourism industry over the past three decades. Today the industry has matured, maximising the benefits of consumer trends for niche, experiential holidays in distinctive locations. An outcome of this maturity is increased competition from superior operators, and strong demand for specialist staff.

Each year William Angliss Institute receives more requests for qualified Resort Management graduates than we are able to fill. The increased demand for skilled employees in the industry means it is becoming ever more challenging for businesses to attract and retain the best staff.

The William Angliss Resort Management program has won multiple awards and international recognition for providing relevant, innovative training solutions to the Resort industry. It covers all aspects of Resort Management, producing graduates who are flexible employees with specialist skills. During the program, students are trained in a wide range of skills in the fields of hospitality, tourism and business management, as well as full training in their chosen specialist area of Spa, Dive or Water Recreation. All trainers have current industry experience, and the curriculum is developed in consultation with industry to ensure students are job-ready on completion.

A great benefit of the Resort Management course is its all-inclusive nature. Students are provided with textbooks, uniforms and workbooks. In their first year all students attend a Queensland study tour where students apply the skills they are learning and view best practice industry operators at work. In their second year an overseas industry tour is available so that students can observe international best practice operators in the field and attend targeted industry events.
