This simple guide will ensure you know how to access your units/subjects for first semester.

Before you start, make sure you have your timetable (which you should have received from your department), your student ID number, and ensure you've enrolled in your subjects for the semester.

Step one: Set up your initial password

Our first step is to set up your initial password. To do this, you need to have a valid enrolment and your student number. If you don't have any of these things, contact enrolments@angliss.edu.au.

  1. Navigate to Password Management Portal: passwordreset.myangliss.edu.au
  2. Click Set up your initial password
  3. Enter your student number (e.g. 20000045) and the verification code. Click Next
  4. Select either your registered “personal email” or “personal mobile number” to receive security code
  5. Enter the received security code and set up your initial password.

Now you're all set - the Password Management Portal synchronises your password across the Angliss network (myWAI Student Portal, myAngliss email, eStudent, Institute computers and student Wi-Fi).

Step two: Explore myWAI Student Portal

Head over to myWAI Student Portal: mywai.angliss.edu.au

To login, your myWAI username is your student number (e.g. 20000045), and your password is what you've just set up.

myWAI is your gateway to Angliss. From here you can access moodle (your learning management portal) where you'll find all your course content, assessment deadlines, subject outline, and important announcements.

Step three: Activate your myAngliss student email

Navigate to myAngliss student email: outlook.com/myangliss.edu.au

Enter your myAngliss email (e.g. 20000045@myangliss.edu.au or SAM10346789@myangliss.edu.au) and the password you have set up.

It is important to check your myAngliss email account regularly, as we'll send you important Institute information and updates. Optionally, you can forward your myAngliss emails to your personal email so you never miss any communications!

Step four: Check your timetable

Refer to the timetable sent to you by the Student Management Centre (SMC) of your program area at William Angliss Institute.

Make a note of the subjects/units you are studying this semester and also the class group you have been allocated with.

Your orientation page will have more information on how to read your timetable.

Step five: Access your Moodle subjects

In order to access your Moodle subjects you need to know what units/subjects you are studying this semester and the corresponding eSubject keys.

Refer to the timetable and eSubject keys information sent to you by your department’s Student Management Centre (SMC).

  1. Login to myWAI Student Portal
  2. Scroll down and click on your department icon (e.g. Cookery or Hospitality)
  3. Click on an unit/subject you are studying this semester.
  4. Enter the correct eSubject Key to access your Moodle subject. Remember eSubject Keys are case-sensitive. (Refer to the timetable and eSubject Keys sent to you earlier).

Step six: Set up for remote learning: Access your classes with Zoom

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, some of your theory classes may be remotely held via Zoom.

To ensure you're set up to use Zoom, check your system requirements.
