Recognition of prior learning QLD

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) involves a formal recognition of the skills and knowledge that you have gained through previous studies, work and life experiences. Candidates for RPL may be awarded full or part qualifications on the basis of RPL assessment.

RPL Assessment
The William Angliss Institute trainer will formally assess your existing skills and knowledge so that previous studies, work and/or life experiences can count towards all or part of your qualification and shorten the period of training. As part of the assessment we may take into account the following:

  1. Work-related training courses
  2. On-the-job skills and work experience
  3. Volunteer and community work
  4. A combination of all of the above

To apply you will need to submit your resume and all academic transcript of results electronically or physically to your trainer. You will then be advised if you are eligible for RPL and advised of the costs involved in your training.

You will receive customised information regarding the RPL from your trainer. They will gather your evidence into either an electronic portfolio format or receive the paper-based evidence. You will submit your portfolio to the trainer then a final interview assessment decision is made and you will be informed of the outcome of whether you were successful or need to train in the unit.

Please speak to your trainer at the sign up process in regards to applying for RPL.
