Academic Profile - Philip Tubb

Biography

Philip Tubb is specialised in a wide array of management subjects including Risk Management, various tourism-specific topics, Marketing, Human Resources, and Economics. Philip has expertise in teaching across the fields of Events and Hospitality Management. In his prior role as Destination Development Manager, Christmas Island, Philip played a crucial role in the leadership team dedicated to enhancing sustainable tourism on Christmas Island. His responsibilities encompassed the formulation and execution of strategies for destination development, ensuring superb visitor experiences, and managing the corporate and operational aspects of the Christmas Island Tourism Association.

Previously, he held  positions of Sessional Lecturer at Victoria University, William Angliss Institute, and Academies Australasia Polytechnic. Additionally, he has an extensive background as a TAFE Instructor at the Melbourne Polytechnic, where he taught Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas in Tourism, Hospitality, and Events for 15 years.
