SITXFSA005 - Use hygenic practices for food safety

Designed for people involved in food preparation, this course provides basic hygiene principles for all food handlers.

The Course meets the minimum standards for food handling staff under Australian Food Standards Code, Standard 3.2.2, the requirement for staff to have the necessary knowledge of food safaty and food hygiene.

Learn about correct storage temperatures, dealing with 'danger' foods, personal hygiene, cleaning food preparation areas and pest control.

The course includes:

  • Follow hygiene procedures and identify food hazards
  • Report any personal health issues
  • Prevent food contamination
  • Prevention of cross-contamination through hygiene practice

Once you have purchased the online Food Handlers course you will be emailed a username and password to access the online Learning Management System in order to undertake your course.

On successful completion of the course you will be emailed a copy of your certificate and we will then post the original to you.

There is a three (3) month time limit to complete the Food Handlers course.

This course is a pre-requisite for Food Safety Supervisor training and accreditation.

Please note: A good understanding of written and spoken English is required to undertake this course.
