The Sir William Angliss Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Scholarship (VIC/NSW)

The Sir William Angliss Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Scholarship (VIC/NSW) is awarded to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students (commencing or continuing) in any study area, based on equity.

 

VALUE

Scholarships of up to $3,000 (AUD) each will be available to students in Semesters 1 and 2. This is awarded to support the students' skill development, travel, living and other study related tools, resources or/and equipment expenses.

 

ELIGIBILITY

To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island heritage.
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a permanent Humanitarian Visa
  • Be enrolled or intending to enrol full time in any Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor Degree course in any study area at William Angliss Institute.
  • Demonstrate your Aboriginal or Torres Islander origin. Include evidence of a Confirmation of Aboriginality form completed in consultation with the Institute's Koori Liaison Officer.

 

APPLICATION

To apply, complete the online application form below and submit all supporting documentation. Only complete applications submitted before the relevant closing date will be considered. Attending a Scholarship Workshop (information session) is strongly recommended.

If you are applying for multiple scholarships, please note that you only need to complete the merit or equity application form once. The Scholarships Office will assess your application for your eligibility against relevant scholarships.

SELECTION

This scholarship is offered to all eligible applicants on the basis of Merit and/or Equity as indicated on this page.

 

OUTCOME

All applicants will be informed about the outcome within 10 weeks of the closing date.
