Graduation

Congratulations on the completion of your qualification, it’s time to celebrate! Here is a handy guide to graduation at William Angliss Institute.

You must apply to graduate via the myWAI Student Portal prior to completing their final semester of study to be considered for the next graduation period.

You may indicate your preference to attend the graduation ceremony when you apply.

To be eligible to graduate, you must have completed all academic requirements of the course, any placement or work experience requirements, and have all outstanding fees paid.

Upon successful completion of your studies, your eligibility to graduate will be assessed by the Student Administration team, and, once satisfied, a certificate will be issued to acknowledge your achievements at your graduation ceremony or via mail. Certificates are only issued upon completion of the course you initially enrolled in, unless you have formally applied to exit with a lower qualification or a partial completion.

You must apply to graduate; otherwise your academic record will not be assessed for completion.

Application to graduate at the upcoming Graduation is now open on myWAI, applications close on June 9th.

Upon successful completion of your studies, your eligibility to graduate will be assessed by the Faculty of Higher Education and, once satisfied, a recommendation will be made to the Higher Education Academic Board to approve your award. If you require a letter stating that you have met the requirements of your course prior to Board approval, you can apply directly through the Faculty of Higher Education. A testamur will be issued to acknowledge your achievements at your graduation ceremony or via mail.

Graduation ceremonies take place twice a year for students who complete Certificate or above courses. The Graduation ceremonies offer the perfect opportunity to celebrate your hard work and achievements with fellow graduates, family, friends, and William Angliss Institute!

The upcoming Graduation ceremonies are scheduled as follows:

Tuesday 8 August

  • 5pm - Faculty of Higher Education students

Wednesday 9 August

  • 5pm - Food Trades and Culinary Arts students

Thursday 10 August

  • 5pm - Centre for Tourism & Hospitality
