Course Description

This course offers a dynamic learning experience that models best practice in contemporary Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Graduates will gain TAE technical skills and knowledge, enriched with real-world capabilities such as teamwork, planning and organisation, problem-solving, creative thinking, and personal and social responsibility.

A distinctive feature of the course is its focus on the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) from both teacher and learner perspectives. Structured as an intensive, project-based program, the course integrates multiple units of competency to reflect the complex and evolving role of a VET practitioner with advanced training and assessment expertise.

Participants engage in Communities of Practice that blend structured learning with workplace experience, fostering collaboration, team-building, and professional networking. Throughout the course, participants develop a professional portfolio of workplace-ready artefacts, including assessment tools, training activities, and e-learning resources.

To support practical skill development and reflective practice, each learner-teacher is required to nominate a Workplace Sponsor from their Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The sponsor provides guidance, feedback, and mentorship, helping to build the learner-teacher’s confidence and capability.
