Hospitality students visit one of Melbourne's most unique breweries

180 hospitality students have immersed themselves in the unique brewery culture of Stomping Ground. Along with the Venue Manager, Eddie John and his experienced team, the students toured and learned all about the Collingwood based brewery and their grand Beer Hall.

Alongside its exceptional beer selection, Stomping Ground is also known for its high level of sustainability in its beer brewing processes. From having a low carbon footprint on their beers to utilising solar power for their entire operation Stomping Ground is helping to lead the charge in beer production sustainability.

During the tour, students witnessed how Stomping Ground brew their beers from start to finish, learning how keeping the majority of production in house, has made it possible to closely monitor and maintain their quality of beer. This holistic approach represents how a beer producer can elevate a consumer's hospitality experience. Students concluded their tour with a very popular tasting session of the Stomping Ground's range.

At William Angliss Institute, it's essential for our students to not only learn about the hospitality industry but also to have face-to-face time with people who are known to be key players in the industry, learning how real-life companies are adding value to what they do.
