Your guide to Angliss Open Day

After two years of virtual Open Days, we're excited to bring the experience back on-campus. If this is your first Angliss visit, you're in for a treat! Here are some tips to keep in your back pocket to help you feel prepared and at ease even before stepping into your future campus.

Game plan!

You know we're pulling all the stops with our signature practical masterclasses, demos, industry panel discussions and info sessions. Plus we have an exciting keynote speaker this year. So, where to start so you don't miss out?

Simple. Register today! Through the Angliss schedule builder, you’ll see we’re hosting multiple info sessions (lucky you!). For our exclusive events such as keynote speaker, masterclasses, demos and industry panels, you’d want to book your spot now as these are one off sessions with limited capacities.

Not sure which course is for you? We recommend you book all the sessions you’re interested in, be they keynote speaker, info sessions, masterclasses, demos or industry panels, for the full Angliss experience. This is your chance to explore all the possibilities. A heads up, some of the sessions you want to attend may happen simultaneously. Check out the times first before you book.

Once you book, you’ll receive a personalised planner in your email so you'll know when and where you need to be on Open Day. Our campus can feel quite big, and it's easy to get distracted by our commercial kitchens, aeroplane cabin, Indigenous culinary garden, hotel facilities and more. But with your planner, you'll have an idea of how long it'll take from one spot to the next!

If the event you want to go to is sold out, make sure you sign up to the waiting list/let us know, and we can add you to our waiting list here.

All registered? Good. You're now also in the running to win a sweet $200 gift voucher. You're welcome!

How can I get there?

Whether you're new to the city or a Melbourne native, our city location makes for an easy commute. To ensure you don't miss any sessions, look up 555 La Trobe St, Melbourne VIC 3000 on Google Maps or check out PTV to plan your trip. Our nearest train station is Flagstaff Station, and if you prefer the tram, we're just off the 30 and 35 tram lines.

The cherries on top at Angliss

Our challenge for you on Open Day is finding out about something outside of your specific course information that excites and may inspire you. Our suggestion? Head to the Library and have a chat with the Student Services team. They're a fun group that can tell you all about on-campus clubs, ways to combine study and travel, and how we can help you get a job (because that's what we're here for).

What about fees, loans and do you have scholarships available?

Yes, to all three! Head to our Library to learn more about fees, potential scholarships, loans, fee help, and how you actually go about applying. The Angliss Info Centre team will be there and can answer all your logistical questions.

Come up with a great question once you've left? Send us an email or call us, and we'll make sure we get you an answer.

Questions?

Open Day is a great day, but it's just the beginning. You'll leave the Day inspired, ready to start your journey into the experience industries. Plus, if you have any more questions, we're always around to help, so feel free to come back and visit or get in touch at any time.

We look forward to welcoming you as a William Angliss Institute student.
