A team of Diploma of Events students were lucky enough to be part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2017 Arts Program on Wednesday 15th March.
Presented in partnership with Study Melbourne, ‘A stitch in Time, A place of Mine’ took place at the vibrant Queen Victoria Market, Deli Hall. This sensory experience was inspired by, and represented Melbourne’s multicultural and international student community.
Our students were given the opportunity to experience this exciting fashion event first hand, and were involved in all aspects of front-of-house event support; greeting guests, serving drinks and canapés.
Program Leader for Events, Corinne Maxfield said it was an invaluable experience for the students, who were excited to be a part of the high profile fashion show.
“This is our second year working with Study Melbourne on this great event. We always encourage our students to get involved in the diverse range of events Melbourne has to offer, providing students with the opportunity to put their learning into practice, and to observe firsthand what goes on behind the scenes,” she said.
